"Ice Crystals" This was originally a photo I took this past winter of ice frozen in cool formations on the pond in my backyard. I thought it would look good in this symmetry assignment because of the patterns that it would create when it flipped around. One thing I like about the final product is how there is a very clear center point and it draws your attention to it.
"Deer Tornado" I took this original photo on my walk home from school one day because the deer were really close to me and I thought it was interesting. I flipped the image in the way I did so that the deer were facing in the opposite direction of each other instead of towards each other so that the interest (their faces) took up more space. A thing I like about this image is that it has greenery and wildlife which I enjoy being around.
"Tracks in the Snow" I took this original photo outside my friend Owen's house when I was walking home from hanging out. I thought it was pretty funny at the time because there was just an imprint of a bare foot in the snow. I thought that all of the marks in the snow would look good when I flipped all of them around with symmetry.
"Spiderman" One of my friends took the original picture of my as I swung on a rope swing over the Huron River. I really liked the colors of the trees behind me at the time and I thought that me swinging was a very interesting subject. I named this image Spiderman because it reminded me of how Spiderman swings around.
"Into the Valley" I took the original photo this past summer while I was riding on a Gondola lift in Telluride, CO. It was very cool scenery and we were descending from the top of the mountain down into the valley, hence the title. I really like how after I flipped the images, it created a huge mountain on the top middle of the photo.
